Drawing attention of other countries as well. What is the feeling of America's black population about the election of John F. Kennedy? (Kennedy gets majority vote) Tweet – John F. Kennedy not a supporter of civil rights -- only wanted to gain an advantage with helping African Americans. 70% of the vote. African Americans expected #bold #new civil rights initiatives, they didn't ask for this. You just heard about what happened to Medgar Evers. What is your reaction? (Medgar Evers assassinated)Tweet – Medgar Evers unjustly shot to death by a white supremacist. He was a participant in the Normandy invasion, joined the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and encouraged poor African Americans to register to vote and recruiting them into the civil rights movement. After doing such a great service to the country, he didn't deserve this. #unjust #allwhitejury |
